About the Artist
Carrie Weldon is a gestural abstractionist painter based in Prescott, Arizona, known for her large-scale expressionist works rich in texture and vibrant color.
For more than two decades, she has cultivated her signature style, Concrete Abstract, a fusion of acrylic, oil, and proprietary mixed-media techniques on wood. Defined by spontaneity and expressive movement, her paintings carry a dynamic energy that commands attention in both residential and commercial spaces.
A full-time painter for the past five years, Carrie is steadily expanding her presence in the art world. Her work is not derivative, so there are no obvious comparisons. A respected Prescott art mentor recently remarked that she is currently “driving the bus” for art in the region.
Carrie's paintings are currently on display in several locations/galleries in Prescott and Sedona, and she is currently in discussions with major galleries in Las Vegas, Scottsdale and Honolulu, Hawaii.
